What is Blogging?
from:Do you know what blogging is? Let’s start by understanding what a blog is. A blog is about a lot of things. Anything, in general, or nothing, in particular.
The word “blog” is made of two parts “web” and “log”. Statistics say that the most profitable blogs are very targeted and dedicated to certain subjects and not the ones about anything and everything. A niche audience brings a lot of trafic. So blogging is the act of participating in the blog by writing on the blog. A blog contains material such as: pictures, animations, text, sound or other links to different blogs or websites. Some blogs make an exception but most of them have these components.
While surfing the net, you will see some blogs that are just daily comic strips or collections of pictures from somebody’s portfolio, let’s say, a photographer. Some blogs are about giving advice, writing novels, or articles about self help. Among all the blog genres, the business blog stand up from the crowd.
Many companies have discovered, sooner or latter, that they can increase their profit margins if they use the blogs to promote themselves. So a sort of gold rush began. Everybody become interesting in writing on the blog and get the cash they deserve. But the market is not saturated. It is increasing day by day but it is not saturated. New blogs appear every day so if you are considering starting one, there is still a lot of room for you. Especially since blogs are going stronger than ever before and profits continue to increase.
Some companies develop a corporate blog, an attempt by many companies to roll up their sleeves and loosen their ties a bit. On a blog, a company is less formal and more casual. It reaches out to the client and tries to connect to the person on the street or at home. A corporate blog is an excellent way to find out what the market things about you, how they react to a new product or to the different changes in your company. It's a good way for big business to find out what the man on the street things about the company. This is always refreshing and many expensive studies were replaced like that. Never forget that the comments on a corporate blog are very important and they take the pulse of the street and the general opinion towards the company. Never underestimate the power of blogging.
Begin now to blog, if you haven’t already! The cost is inexistent but the results are amazing. The Adsense from Google can boost your revenues if you know how to use it. A very popular blogging platform is Blogger. Also, you can use WordPress blogs. Both are free and there are even companies that will pay you to put their products or logos on your blog. Hop on a great adventure and explore a new way to market your business or win money.
